Our Front Desk Lead Host serves as key figure in our guests’ overall impression of the restaurant as the first and last person the guest communicates with (in person and/or by telephone). This position focuses on maximizing the sales volume of the restaurant by facilitating and orchestrating the intake and flow of guest reservations. El Gaucho Bellevue Sous Chef is a professional Chef responsible for all aspects of culinary operations and kitchen management. Responsibilities include overseeing kitchen team, creating menus, overseeing food purchases, managing cost of goods and inventory.
The ideal Sous Chef should have strong leadership skills, be highly organized, have excellent communications skills and have a passion for cooking. Sous Chef should be able to plan and delegate tasks to team and oversee all consistency and food quality in the kitchen.
Our Sous Chef will stay current with industry trends and participate in the development of new menu creations. The position requires extensive knowledge of culinary principles and a deep understanding of cost and profit management. Creative problem-solving and an eye for detail are the key skills for success in this role. A successful Sous Chef should be able to balance creative cooking with efficiency and cost effectiveness.

The Bartender/Server position at Witness Tree by El Gaucho includes the production of beverages for restaurant and bar service and involves set-up, maintenance, and operation of the bar. Fulfilling the Witness Tree Bartending position requires in-depth knowledge in food, beverage, and wine as well as experience with the skills necessary to execute their service. Keen salesmanship and prioritization of tasks, with a strict focus on meeting and exceeding the needs of the guest, is a must. Candidates must have the ability to maintain an orderly work station while accurately producing beverages and receiving and entering food and beverage orders through the given POS system. Applicants must possess knowledge of beer, wine and spirits and of traditional and modern cocktail preparation. Anticipation of guest s needs and coursing with appropriate and timely steps of service, efficiency in cash handling and payment processing are requirements. Prior bar/cocktail experience is a plus. - Compensation| During the 2-week training period, and for certain limited activities thereafter (e.g., set-up for buy-outs, company meetings) you will get the applicable minimum wage for your location: $16.28/hr. After training, the pay range is the minimum wage for your location ($16.28/hour) to $75/hour, which is calculated by a variable base amount per hour (ranging from $1 to $16.28/hour) plus 15% commission on your individual gross sales (gross sales less comps), which is paid 100% to you and not shared with support staff, plus any voluntary tips or gratuities paid at the guests discretion, which are also paid entirely to you.* The average earnings, including commissions and bumps, are approximately $35-$75/hour; however, this rate is based on your gross sales and bumps, and as such may vary and is not guaranteed.
* In the unlikely event the base rate + commissions in a workweek do not meet or exceed the minimum wage, a server will be paid at least the location-specific minimum wage ($16.28 hour).
