Location: Hybrid role. Campus Support Center (Mississauga, L5N 6S2) and travel to other campuses across the GTA as needed. 

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST. This role will require working some evenings for events.

The Opportunity:

The Social Media & Community Specialist manages and elevates the institution’s social media presence, engaging prospective, current, and alumni students to support lead generation.

Responsibilities include content strategy execution, reputation management, and fostering engagement through influencers, ambassadors, and community interactions.
This role oversees Google My Business profiles, monitors feedback, and drives on-campus content creation through reels, videos, and storytelling to enhance brand credibility.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Strategy & Content Execution – Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar, ensuring strategic alignment with marketing initiatives.

  • Community Engagement & Reputation Management – Manage Google My Business profiles and review platforms, responding to feedback and improving brand sentiment.

  • Influencer & Ambassador Collaboration – Work with student ambassadors and influencers to create compelling, authentic content.

  • On-Campus Content Creation – Capture student experiences, reels, and short-form videos to enhance engagement and storytelling.

  • Brand Consistency & Creative Review – Partner with the Brand Experience Lead to ensure social content aligns with brand guidelines.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with the Program & Campus Marketing Manager to highlight program launches and key initiatives.

  • Manage Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn accounts and create new a Tik Tok channel.

  • Undertake special projects and assignments as needed to support the marketing team’s strategic goals, operational excellence and other tasks required to drive marketing success.

 Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Experience managing social media and content creation.

  • Video creation and editing capabilities with various software i.e. CapCut, Adobe Creative Cloud and basic graphic design with Canva or Photoshop.

  • A keen eye for visual balance and design, especially with respect to building web pages.

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofing skills.

  • Exceptional organizational and research skills.

  • Ability to synthesize corporate and industry-specific information into polished marketing copy.

  • Excellent written and spoken command of the English language.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to various campuses across the GTA.
