Private Dining Cook Prep & Pantry
EL Gaucho Vancouver $22 $23/hr Full-time & Part-time Available
EL Gaucho Vancouver is hiring a cook to support our Private Dining program. This is a prep and pantry position for someone who takes pride in doing the prep work well. You will be part of a small, focused kitchen team delivering elevated dining experiences for private events and groups.
Responsibilities
- Prep proteins, sauces, vegetables, and cold items for private dining service
- Execute prep lists accurately with attention to consistency and quality
- Support lead cooks during service with mise en place and station restocking
- Follow recipes, portion specs, and plating guides to standard
- Maintain a clean, organized station and contribute to overall kitchen sanitation
- Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed
Experience
- Some kitchen experience preferred restaurant or catering,
- Solid knife skills and basic cooking fundamentals
- Reliable, punctual, and calm under pressure
- Able to follow direction and execute without needing hand-holding
- Availability for evenings and weekends based on event schedule
- Team player who takes pride in quality, even behind the scenes
- Food handlers card required
