The Opportunity:
The primary responsibility of the Education Manager is to ensure effective educational delivery for all students enrolled in on Campus programs. Manage on Campus faculty and scheduling to ensure that students enrolled achieve the education outcomes as outlined in the College Program Submission, specified by New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Ontario regulators. To proactively maintain high morale of faculty and student body through an overall friendly and engaged culture focused on student success.
What you’ll be doing:
- Hire and train direct reports.
- Manage and orchestrate the work of direct reports.
- Manage vacations and seek to minimize absenteeism of direct reports.
- Find replacements for instructors who are ill or have emergencies.
- Assist in ensuring that the educational, physical, social, and special needs of students are met, wherever possible, with guidance from the Campus Director.
- Conduct Instructor Surveys and spot check program satisfaction.
- Review Instructor and Course Level Survey results with faculty and initiate corrected or improvement actions.
- Ensure that programs are following the established sequence of courses and exam timetables and that students graduate and complete diploma requirements and certification exams to meet graduate and placement standards.
- Ensure that instructors follow guidelines for instructional delivery of curriculum according to corporate standards.
- Assist with managing classroom scheduling according to corporate guidelines.
- Complete probationary and annual instructor performance reviews.
- Communicate grade reporting timelines and ensure that instructors submit grades on schedule.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in all aspects of program delivery and ensure education is delivered within the guidelines of the relevant Provincial Regulatory body.
- Manage Master Schedule for all on campus intakes.
- Other duties as assigned, and which are in the best interests of the College.
What you bring to the position:
- Post-secondary education, college diploma in business or technology, university degree preferred.
- Five (5) years combined management and administrative experience in a comparable educational environment.
- Knowledge of sales and customer service issues.
- Knowledge of instructional techniques (teaching experience an asset).
- Experience working with accounting, budgeting, and financial statements
