What you’ll be doing:

The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide quality delivery of the Continuing Care Assistant Progressive Education program curriculum. You will utilize a variety of instruction strategies, techniques, and delivery methods to meet the individual learning styles of the students, in a safe and civil learning environment. Instructors are responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with course competencies, taking daily attendance, and as required, grading class tests, assignments, and exams. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends to enhance the learning experience.

The Continuing Care Assistant Instructor will support the vision, mission, and values of Eastern College while contributing to a positive, supportive, and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication, and readiness, embracing diversity, and fostering inclusion.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of practical work experience working with Continuing Care Assistants.
  • Previous teaching experience is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including supervision, motivation, and facilitation are preferred.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills will be essential to success in this role.
  • Familiar with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Pharmacy Technician Instructor- Halifax

Job Title:             Pharmacy Technician Instructor

Company:            Eastern College

Location:             Hybrid, Halifax Campus, 6940 Mumford Rd, Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Hours:                  Part-time position .

                             In-person - Monday to Friday 8 am to 1 pm or 3 days per week ( 8 hours per day), 3   weeks each year             

                            Remote -  Mondays or Tuesdays, mornings (9 am to 12 pm) or evenings (7 pm to 10 pm).

  • Responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with course competencies, taking daily attendance, and as required, grading class tests, assignments, and exams.

  • Support the vision, mission, and values of Eastern College while contributing to a positive, supportive, and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication and readiness, embracing diversity and fostering inclusion.

What you bring to the position:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of practical hospital pharmacy experience working as a technician.
  • Must be a Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the Province of Nova Scotia.
  • Advanced knowledge of computerized pharmacy software applications.
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred.
  • Professionalism combined with intermediate Microsoft Office skills, superior communication and organizational skills will be essential to success in this role.
