Customer Service Representative/ Front Desk
Are you passionate about pets and love connecting with people who feel the same?
At Reynolds Dog Resort in McMinnville, we're seeking a warm and friendly Customer Service Representative to be the first point of contact for our valued clients and their furry friends. In this role, you'll be responsible for greeting customers with a smile, answering questions about our services, and helping to ensure every pet and pet parent has a fantastic experience with us.
What You'll Do:
- Say Hello! Cheerfully greet pets and their humans when they arrive at our resort.
- Client Communication: Answer phone calls and emails with a positive attitude, providing helpful information about our boarding, grooming, and daycare services; Provide basic information about pet care and resort policies to clients, always keeping a customer-focused approach.
- Scheduling: Schedule appointments and manage reservations to keep our resort running smoothly.
- Daily Front Desk Operations: Assist with check-ins and check-outs, ensuring pets have everything they need for a comfortable stay; Check dogs into daycare, boarding, and grooming
- Maintaining Documents: Contact veterinarians to get vaccine or other needed information regarding pets in our care; Work with our kennel software to book appointments, make notes on client and pet profiles, and obtain relevant information as needed.
- Communicating with Back-of-House Staff: Communicate with grooming and kennel staff regarding dogs as they check in and their needs
- Running Dogs: Escort our furry friends to play areas/kennels/etc.
- Organization and Office Maintenance: Responsible for the overall cleanliness/appearance of our front office; Vacuum/sweep and mop daily or as needed, clean windows, wipe down counters; keep desk, papers, etc. clean and organized
- Represent Your Village: Always be thoughtful of the appearance of the office and yourself through the eyes of our clients.

- Excellent communication skills: Phone, interpersonal, and written, with proper spelling and grammar, and a professional and friendly demeanor
- Team Player: Works together well with others to make sure all our guests are cared for and pet parents satisfied!
- Customer Service Background: Previous experience in a customer service role preferred, but not required—but a drive to meet and exceed client expectations is paramount
- Flexibility: A flexible schedule. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Organized: Attention to detail and great organizational skills to keep track of the varying needs of your Village
- Physical Stamina: Able to handle/transport dogs of all sizes by leash, and to keep upright and busy throughout a hectic shift
- Dog Lover: Passion for working with animals a must!

Dog Trainer

Client Consultation: Meet with dog owners to discuss behavioral concerns and their individual training needs.

Developing Training Plans: Identify each dog’s specific needs and behavioral challenges (including but not limited to proper socialization, separation anxiety, hyperactivity, etc.) and set achievable goals, documenting their progress.

Communication: Staying in constant communication with pet parents about their dogs’ progress; identifying additional behavioral concerns and discussing with pet owners; scheduling and confirming training appointments when needed.

Basic Obedience: Teaching dogs to obey basic commands using various training techniques that are best suited to each dog’s personality and attributes.

Keep a Clean Workspace: Ensure that the training areas are kept clean and tidy.

Integration: Work directly within our pet resort to ensure that pet clients can thrive in all areas of our care, including daycare, boarding and grooming, and working with staff in these areas to create comprehensive plans to meet these goals.

Client Education: Teaching pet parents appropriate training methods to enforce and maintain the behaviors and skills learned by their dogs during training sessions.

Proven Experience: Experience training dogs in a professional capacity is required.

Safety First: Employ safe handling techniques with all dogs in our care.

Knowledgeable: Experienced with a variety of dog breeds and well-studied on their individual characteristics and personalities, as well as general canine behavior and body language.

Certified: Hold current certification with an accredited dog training organization, such as the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT).

Team Player: Works together well with others to make sure all our guests are cared for and pet parents satisfied!

Kennel Technician

Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure each pet is treated with respect and dignity, and has a safe and fun boarding experience
- Willing to learn animal behavior to ensure their safety
- Ensure kennels and play areas are clean and pleasant to be in
- Cheerful, friendly, positive team-oriented attitude
- Clean all equipment, toys, dishes, suites, floors, etc. Cleaning is a big part of what we do.
- Use common sense to solve problems as it relates to dogs in our care.
- Understand or learn about canine body language and how to make the dogs comfortable in meeting you and having you lead them into our facility.
- If you are a hard worker who takes direction well, are quick on your feet, and have initiative to make your job great then this may be the job for you!
- We love to have fun and take our job of caring for people’s pets seriously. Safety and security are a priority while enjoying all we do. We are a team and communication is key in keeping the operations going.
- This is a physically demanding job. We ask that you be able to safely lift 50 pounds, have hand-eye coordination, and are comfortable in environments where dogs sometimes jump on you.
- Must have basic customer service skills and be able to follow our safety protocols.
- Must love dogs. We have a lot of them!
