DCA Controls provides industrial electrical installations and custom control panel builds. We are looking for a resourceful Marketing and Events Coordinator to help us show our work, build our visibility and connect with potential customers and industry partners.

This is a hands-on opportunity working directly with Bill, Monica and our technical team. You will turn real projects into useful content and help us identify and make the most of relevant industry events. We welcome applicants at different stages of their careers, including graduates with strong work samples and practical project experience, as well as experienced freelance and contract marketing professionals.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Plan, create and schedule social media content, with an emphasis on LinkedIn.
• Gather project stories, photos and short videos with our shop and installation teams.
• Turn technical information into clear posts, project profiles and sales materials.
• Research relevant manufacturing, electrical and automation events and recommend where DCA should participate.
• Coordinate event attendance and materials, attend selected events and organise follow-up with business contacts.
• Maintain a practical marketing calendar and track enquiries, engagement and useful business connections.
• Use AI tools where helpful, while checking facts, protecting confidential information and keeping content specific to DCA.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Clear writing, strong organisation and confident communication.
• Initiative and dependable follow-through: someone who can move work forward without constant prompting.
• Experience creating social content and basic graphics or short videos.
• Comfort speaking with people and asking questions about unfamiliar technical work.
• An interest in industrial electrical installations, control panels and manufacturing.
• The ability to work independently and collaborate with a small team.

Experience with LinkedIn, Canva, scheduling tools and AI-assisted content creation is useful. Industrial, construction or business-to-business marketing experience is an asset, but is not essential.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT AND COMPENSATION
We are open to part-time or full-time employment, or a freelance or contract engagement. The scope, schedule and arrangement will be agreed with the successful candidate.

Employee compensation: CAD $27–$32 per hour, based on relevant experience and demonstrated skills.
Freelance or contract compensation: rates and fees to be negotiated based on the agreed scope and deliverables. Please include your proposed rate or fee structure.

LOCAL AVAILABILITY
Applicants must already live in Hamilton, Ancaster, Dundas, Stoney Creek, Brantford or a nearby community and be available to attend our location regularly and participate in local events. We are seeking someone locally based; this opportunity is not suitable for remote-only work, out-of-country arrangements, relocation or long-distance commuting. This requirement applies to employee, freelance and contract arrangements.
