Synergy Franchising is hiring a permanent, full-time Assistant General Manager for Popeyes South Pointe in Saskatchewan, Alberta. This role is designed to prepare the right candidate for a Assistant General Manager position, with an immediate start.

Base Salary $40,000 per year, plus a monthly bonus opportunity of up to $191 based on store volume and performance against bonus-program metrics. |

About the Role
The Assistant General Manager works closely with the General Manager, overseeing daily shift operations and ensuring the restaurant runs in full compliance with Synergy and RBI standards, Provincial WCB, and Employment and Health regulations. The Assistant General Manager is equipped to maintain smooth operations in the absence of the General Manager.
Responsibilities
Operations
- Balance our four pillars and key goals — quality, speed of service, and cost control — through effective management
- Maintain Synergy and RBI standards daily; conduct regular performance reviews, identifying and acting on areas for improvement
- Build staff schedules and assign shift responsibilities
- Champion the Synergy climate and ensure it's practiced daily
- Own the Popeyes Scorecard and its results
Human Resources
- Recruit and hire hourly staff
- Train and develop team members, and address performance issues directly
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and motivating work environment aligned with the Synergy climate
- Document critical incidents and report them to the appropriate individuals
- Complete monthly health and safety meetings and restaurant walk-throughs, taking corrective action as needed
Financial
- Complete daily, weekly, and period accounting administration
- Manage inventory control, ordering, cost control, and weekly inventory counts
- Apply sound cash and food cost management principles
Customer Experience
- Uphold cleanliness standards and safe food-handling practices
- Complete a monthly store walk and resolve issues promptly
- Deliver a high level of hospitality through efficient preparation, stocking, and staff positioning
- Make guest loyalty a top priority
- Support the Marketing Manager with local store marketing
- Manage the accounting and administrative aspects of operations
Qualifications
- Experience in a restaurant supervisory role
- Expertise across all restaurant positions
- Comprehensive knowledge of operating standards
- Completion of the required SDP areas for an AGM role
- Completion of the Talent Sorter attribute questionnaire
