309A Electrician Apprentice 3rd or 4th Year

About the Role

Sid Grabell Contracting (SGC) is a well-established industrial and commercial electrical contractor in the Niagara Region. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a 3rd or 4th Year 309A Electrical Apprentice to join our team.

This role is ideal for a motivated, safety-conscious apprentice who wants exposure to industrial and commercial electrical systems, power distribution, underground installations, high-voltage testing, and facilities maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including panels, transformers, motors, MCCs, conduit, lighting, and PLCs

· Install and assist with underground conduit, vaults, and pole base installations

· Support licensed electricians in troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues safely and efficiently

· Learn and apply Canadian Electrical Code and Ontario Electrical Safety Code standards

· Work with team members and subcontractors to complete projects on time

· Follow Ministry of Labour and company safety policies and complete required documentation

Qualifications

· 3rd or 4th-year electrical apprentice with hands-on experience

· Enrolled or eligible to continue apprenticeship toward 309A licence

· Working knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code

· Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail

· Familiarity with the Ontario Health and Safety Act

· Self-motivated, organized, and reliable

· Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record

· Own hand tools

Assets (not required but preferred):

· Industrial or commercial electrical experience

· Exposure to power distribution, underground conduit, vaults, pole base installations, MCCs, PLCs, or utility systems

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
