Location: El Gaucho Bellevue and The Bar-ilo, City Center Plaza (Lobby, El Gaucho Bellevue)
Schedule: Partial day barista shifts at The Bar-ilo plus some evening host/expo shifts at El Gaucho
Compensation: Barista shifts: $17.13 per hour plus tips. Host/Expo shifts: $24.00 per hour

Position Overview

This is a unique role for a hospitality professional who loves variety. During partial day shifts, you will craft exceptional beverages and welcome guests at The Bar-ilo, our refined coffee bar in the lobby of City Center Plaza. On select evenings, you will join the El Gaucho team as a host and expo, setting the tone for each guest's dining experience at the front door and helping ensure every dish leaves the kitchen looking and tasting its best.

Key Responsibilities

As a Barista at The Bar-ilo

• Serve as a gracious host, guiding guests through their coffee experience
• Prepare and present high-quality beverages with care and consistency
• Operate the POS system and handle cash and card transactions accurately
• Follow proper cash handling and reconciliation procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and upscale environment
• Assist with inventory and restocking supplies as needed

As a Host/Expo at El Gaucho

• Graciously greet guests, assist with coats, and escort guests to their table
• Provide menus and ensure special requests are well communicated
• Warmly answer incoming calls and input reservations
• Assist the Front Desk Lead with accurate table checks
• Expedite orders, checking each plate for accuracy and presentation before it leaves the kitchen
• Run food to tables and communicate clearly between the kitchen and service team

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of restaurant or coffee experience
• Availability for partial day shifts and some evening shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
